How to Configure Yum Repo RPMForge on Linux Centos 5.6
If you want to install other package such as mod_suphp with Yum in Linux Centos 5.6, RPMForge can help on that. By default Centos’ Yum, it doesn’t come with mod_suphp package. Here is how to install RPMForge.
Install RPMForge on Centos 5.6
1. Download RPMForge Package. Please download either i686/x86 according to your system. Run uname -a to see which is the suitable package.
# wget http://packages.sw.be/rpmforge-release/rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el5.rf.i386.rpm # wget http://packages.sw.be/rpmforge-release/rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el5.rf.x86_64.rpm
2. Install GPG Key for DAG
# rpm --import http://apt.sw.be/RPM-GPG-KEY.dag.txt
3. Verify the package is ok.
# rpm -K rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el6.rf.*.rpm
4. After verification, install RPMForge package.
# rpm -i rpmforge-release-0.5.2-2.el6.rf.*.rpm
